BC Lions fall short in redemption against Winnipeg Blue Bombers in week 3
The BC Lions kicked off week 3 at home in a rematch against their week 2 opponent the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, where they fell in a 34-20 defeat.Â
As the Lions looked to bounce back on Saturday they started Jeremiah Masoli at QB, as Nathan Rourke was still out with an injury. This is his sixtieth career start in his 12 seasons but his first start in his first season with the Lions. Masoli threw for just 281 yards and 1 touchdown.

BC Lions open season with a 31-14 victory
The BC Lions kicked off their 2025 season in front of a roaring crowd of over 52,000 at BC Place on June 7, against the Edmonton Elks. Â
This was a historic game for the CFL (Canadian Football League) as it was the first time two Canadian quarterbacks: Nathan Rourke and Tre Ford, started in a head-to-head in week 1.Â
