On March 7, 2025 the Vancouver Canucks held their women's empowerment night, uplifting the incredible women in sports!
The energy in the building was amazing, girls of all ages were walking around in their jerseys. Women from different women owned businesses and organizations lined the concourse.
Christine Sinclair, Cammi Granato, Charline Labonté, Maggie Mac Neil, Katie Vincent, and Camryn Rogers were a part of the ceremonial puck drop.
Elias Petterson finally broke his 15 game no goal streak. Opening the scoring for the game in the first period.
Between the periods people walked around checking out the booths, testing Blumes healthy gut drinks, snacking on Bakd Cookies, and getting tattooed by Tattoo for Now.
The game remained 1-0 for the Canucks throughout the second. But the third the Wild were able to get a goal. However, the Canucks kept fighting.
With just over 3 minutes left in the third Sherwood scored, and a few moments later Bluegar scored an empty net. Making the final score 3-0 for the Canucks.
The Canucks face off against the Dallas Stars on Sunday, March 9, 2025 in Vancouver.
