It’s official, Girls at the Games (GATG) has their third watch party in the books!
This time, GATG teamed up with the amazing SportsBar LIVE! At Rogers Arena to host a watch party for team Canada vs USA during the 4 Nations Face-Off round robin.
It was a highly anticipated match-up and the energy at the SportsBar was electric. GATG had glittery pink cheerleading pom-poms that were perfect for big moments of the game—especially those first nine seconds.
Keeping with the theme of pink, GATG and the SportsBar collabed to create the “Pink Power Play” cocktail. This was a fruity drink that was flawless, making it a big hit for watchers. However, if these types of drinks are not your style, they have lots of other potions as well, including beers, and wines.
Since their drinks are so amazing, it is no surprise their food is as well. The SportsBar menu has lots of your classic game-day foods, but they also dishes specific to their restaurant. Some of these dishes include Meatball Sliders, Grilled Farmer’s Sausage, and The Canuck Burger. To find SportsBar specific dishes and drinks just look for items with “SB” next to them.
The SportsBar was kind enough to provide GATG with two giveaways for attendees. The first giveaway happened during the first intermission and the prize was an in-arena experience for a fan to watch a Vancouver Canucks game! The second giveaway happened during the second intermission and the prize was a $200 giftcard to be used at the SportsBar!
Intermissions were also the perfect time to connect with other fans. GATG held their event in the players lounge which has open seating and booths with plenty of room. Lots of people who had never met before sat with each other where conversations were struck up and new friendships were made!
Although Canada did not take home the win against the USA, GATG and viewers had so much fun cheering on Team Canada together.
