February 6, 2026 the Abbotsford Canucks faced off against the San Jose Barracuda. The last time these 2 teams met was back in November, where the Barracuda swept the series.

The night also focused on the Indigenous communities within Abbotsford. They highlighted the culture and traditions of the Matsqui and Sumas First Nations on which Abbotsford resides.

Victor Mancini, Jonathan Lekkerimäki, and Nikita Tolopilo returned to the Abbotsford ice, after spending time up with the Vancouver Canucks. As the big club is on break for the Olympics, they will gain extra ice time to keep up their development.

Anri Ravinskis and Lukas Reichel were both absent as they are representing their home countries in the Olympics. Ravinskis is representing Latvia and Reichel is representing Germany.

This game was also Jimmy Schuldt’s 400th AHL game, playing against his former team. While Cole Clayton faced his old teammates for the first time since being traded in January.

The game started quickly with both teams battling hard and driving the puck into the opposing zones. Physicality was intense from the start with big hits coming from both sides.
