Abbotsford Canucks fighting through the growing pains
On October 26, Abbotsford Canucks faced off in their second home game of the season against the Ontario Reign, after a 5-2 loss the game prior Abbotsford was looking to make a comeback.
Ty Mueller and Tom Willander returned to the lineup, while Jiří Patera took his third start in net. Derek Daschke made his Abbotsford Canucks debut on the blue line.

Abbotsford Canucks home opener was a celebration despite 5-2 loss
October 24, 2025 marked the Abbotsford Canucks home opener against the Ontario Reign. This night also marked the Calder Cup Championship banner raising ceremony prior to the game.
The banner raising ceremony brought the energy from the home town crowd. There were a lot of cheers for the shoutouts to the past team members who are no longer on the team.

If you would have asked Abbotsford Canucks fans back in December if they thought that they would make the playoffs, let alone go on to win the Calder Cup, most would have said no. However, the Abbotsford Canucks proved that resilience and hard work payoff.

The Calder Cup Finals kicked off on June 13, 2025 in Charlotte, North Carolina, between the Abbotsford Canucks and the Charlotte Checkers. They will face off in a best of 7 series where one will claim the title of Calder Cup Championship.
