Vancouver Canadians come up short against the Spokane Indians

July 18, 2025 marked the start of a 3 game series between the Vancouver Canadians and the Spokane Indians. This was their first series back after a 10 game road trip and the All-Star break. 

The game started off slow, both teams trading off strike outs and throw outs at first. No runner could make it past third until the fifth inning.  

The Canadians put up 3 runs in the bottom of the fifth securing the first lead of the game. They would secure another run in the bottom of the sixth giving them a 4-0 lead going into the seventh. 

The Indians were able to secure 1 run in the top of the ninth, however, that would be their only run of the game. Giving the Canadians the series lead. 

July 19 was the second game of the series and the Canadians Oat Milk sponsorship night where the Oat Milkers jersey’s made their first appearance of the season. 

Similar to the previous game, the night started off with the teams exchanging strike outs until the bottom of the third, where the Canadians would open the scoring. 

The Indians would score their first run of the game with a homerun at the top of the sixth making the game 1-1. Both teams were equally matched. 

However, during the top of the eighth a wild pitch led to the Indians scoring their second run of the night, which would be the final run of the game. 

The Indians took game 2 with a 2-1 win, tying the series up 1-1 going into Sunday's game. Though the game did not go the way the Canadians wanted they still celebrated with fireworks. 

July 20 though not a theme night, did have Wasabi headbands to give away to the first 500 people under the age of 12. 

The Indians took game 3 with a 6-4 win over the Canadians, giving them the series win. 

The Canadians next home series takes place on Tuesday July 22 against the Eugene Emeralds. This series is full of theme nights and events. 

Tuesday Pride night, Wednesday Christmas in July, and Saturday Country night, where the first 1,000 fans will get cowboy hats, which finishes off with fireworks.
