Vancouver Canadians secure the wins at home

On May 27, 2025 the Vancouver Canadians played the Hillsboro Hops for the second time this season. Last series both teams were equally matched with 3 wins each.
The Canadians looked to come out on top, after an 8 game losing streak, earlier this month. Before the series started they secured 2 wins on the road, and looked to continue the momentum back home.
Game 1 of the series was South Asian Heritage night at Nat Bailey stadium. The night highlighted the success and beauty of Vancouver’s South Asian community.
The first inning moved quickly with the first 3 at bat struck out, caught out, and tagged out for both teams. The second inning was dominated by the Canadians, who scored 10 runs, giving them the lead.
No runs were scored for either team in the third or fourth inning. The Hops, however, were able to score 2 runs, and the Canadians scored 1, in the fifth. Putting the game 11-2 for the Canadians.
The sixth inning saw no runs for the Hops, but the Canadians would score 2, pushing their lead to 13-2.
Both teams would score 2 runs in the seventh, keeping the game moving. These would be the final runs of the game. The Canadians opened the series with a 15-4 victory.
After the game, the stadium put on their first firework show of the year, allowing fans to enjoy a beautiful night and celebrate the incredible Canadians win. The next firework show is scheduled for June 26, 2025.
The series went in favour of the Canadians, who won 5 out of the 6 games played. Their next home series will take place on June 10, 2025 against the Spokane Indians.
