Canada Day, July 1, 2025 marked the start of a brief home mini series between the Vancouver Canadians and the Everett Aquasox.

These 2 teams have played each other a few times this season, but this was the first time the series had been split 3 at home and 3 away.

Game 1 took place at the Nat Bailey Stadium in front of a sold out home crowd, it was also Lumberjack jersey day, which fit the Canada Day festivities taking place.

The game itself was quick moving, with both teams being equally matched both at bat and on the field.

The Aquasox would score the first run in the top of the third. They would score their second run of the game in the top of the fifth, making the game 2-0 for the Aquasox.

Both teams were consistent with strikeouts and caught pop flies, both infield and in the outfield. Though the game remained low scoring, the energy of the players and the crowd was electric.

The Canadians finally secured their first and only run of the game in the bottom of the seventh. This would also be the final fun of the game.

The Aquasox took game 1 of the series 2-1. This would be the Canadians only loss, winning the other 2 games at home before moving to Everett for the final 3 games in the series.

The Canadians swept the series in Everett 3-0. Their next home series begins on July 18 against the Spokane Indians.
