Vancouver Whitecaps advance to the Semi-Finals of the 2025 Telus Canadian Championship on a late goal
July 9, 2025, the Vancouver Whitecaps took on Valour FC in leg 2 of their quarter-final matchup in the 2025 Telus Canadian Championship. With the first leg ending in a 2-2 draw, the aggregate score was tied. Whoever won leg 2 would move on.
The match against Valour marked Brian White and Sebastian Berhalter’s return from international duty for team USA. They played in the CONCACAF Gold Cup, making it to the finals where they lost 2-1 to Mexico.

Vancouver Bandits beat Brampton Honey Badgers to stay on top
The Vancouver Bandits welcomed the Brampton Honey Badgers on July 6. The Bandits are now 11-3 in the season after Sunday night’s win. As is the norm lately, there were roster changes announced ahead of the game.
In addition to Kyle Mangas being placed on the suspended list for the NBA Summer League requirements with the San Antonio Spurs, Tyrese Samuel was away after signing with the Brooklyn Nets earlier in the week.

Vancouver Bandits beat Scarborough Shooting Stars in a dazzling comeback
It came right down to the line, but the Vancouver Bandits pulled off the win over the Scarborough Shooting Stars on Tuesday July 1st, thanks to Zach Copeland starting and ending the game with buckets.
The Bandits are now 10-3 in the season, an incredible feat considering the continual shake up of personnel throughout the season.

Vancouver Canadians split the double header but unfortunately fall to the Tri-City Dust Devils
June 24, 2025 kicked off the Vancouver Canadians second half of the season, while also starting their 6 game home series against the Tri-City Dust Devils.
This was the second time this season the two teams would play each other, the first was in Tri-City earlier this month where the Canadians won the series 5-1. They looked to lock down a second series win at home.

BC Lions fall short in redemption against Winnipeg Blue Bombers in week 3
The BC Lions kicked off week 3 at home in a rematch against their week 2 opponent the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, where they fell in a 34-20 defeat.
As the Lions looked to bounce back on Saturday they started Jeremiah Masoli at QB, as Nathan Rourke was still out with an injury. This is his sixtieth career start in his 12 seasons but his first start in his first season with the Lions. Masoli threw for just 281 yards and 1 touchdown.
