June 30, 2025 marked the beginning of the Vancouver Canucks development camp, where prospects from around the world came together for a week of training and bonding.Â
The purpose of this camp is for the Canucks organization to take a look at their prospects and see where players can develop further, or if they feel that the player is ready to make their NHL debut.Â

Vancouver Bandits beat Scarborough Shooting Stars in a dazzling comeback
It came right down to the line, but the Vancouver Bandits pulled off the win over the Scarborough Shooting Stars on Tuesday July 1st, thanks to Zach Copeland starting and ending the game with buckets.Â
The Bandits are now 10-3 in the season, an incredible feat considering the continual shake up of personnel throughout the season.

Vancouver Canadians split the double header but unfortunately fall to the Tri-City Dust Devils
June 24, 2025 kicked off the Vancouver Canadians second half of the season, while also starting their 6 game home series against the Tri-City Dust Devils.Â
This was the second time this season the two teams would play each other, the first was in Tri-City earlier this month where the Canadians won the series 5-1. They looked to lock down a second series win at home.Â

British Columbia is home to many professional sport leagues, many of them stationed in Vancouver. If you would have asked Abbotsford Canucks fans back in December if they thought that they would make the playoffs, let alone go on to win the Calder Cup, most would have said no. However, the Abbotsford Canucks proved that resilience and hard work payoff.Â

BC Lions fall short in redemption against Winnipeg Blue Bombers in week 3
The BC Lions kicked off week 3 at home in a rematch against their week 2 opponent the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, where they fell in a 34-20 defeat.Â
As the Lions looked to bounce back on Saturday they started Jeremiah Masoli at QB, as Nathan Rourke was still out with an injury. This is his sixtieth career start in his 12 seasons but his first start in his first season with the Lions. Masoli threw for just 281 yards and 1 touchdown.

Scoring First: How much does the first goal matter in the Stanley Cup Finals?
Leon Draisaitl of the Edmonton Oilers, opened the scoring only 1:06 into the first period of the Stanley Cup Finals. The man who opened the scoring of the Stanley Cups Final was also the overtime hero, stealing game 1, and taking a 1-0 series lead for the Oilers.Â
This opening win was the only time the Oilers led the series despite opening the scoring. Florida came back next game to tie the series, they then won again to take a 2-1 series lead. The Panthers never looked back

Canada dominates Honduras in 6-0 victory in Gold Cup opener
Canada’s Men’s National Team (CMNT) opened up the CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament on June 17, 2025, with a dominant 6-0 win over the Honduras National Football Team.
